Decolonising The Curriculum:

The Work

Home: Welcome

About the project

We are a team of lecturers and students from the University of Essex and the University of the Western Cape on a mission to decolonise education and language policy. Our goal is to increase understanding of the steps, which can be taken to decolonise education in a way that will have a beneficial impact on the quality of teaching through the creation of a more inclusive and representative education system. The outputs produced through this project will provide guidance to educators in South Africa, and the Global South and North more broadly, of ways in which they can begin to decolonise their curricula and language policies.

The project is funded by the Global Challenge Research Fund.
